Company
Profile, Products & Technologies, Target Market
MediViz
Systems is a medical information technology company specializing in
efficiency enhancements for medical centers. MediViz aims to streamline
operations, case-flows, and support resource-based decision-making and
solutions in order to maximize effectiveness within high acuity care
environments. The management team comprises leading professionals with
extensive experience in systems development and clinical practice.
Our first
product is the patent-pending OR-Flow, a peri-operative case-flow
optimization system. OR-Flow enables medical centers to:1) increase
productivity by performing more cases, 2) cut costs by optimizing
resource utilization.
OR-Flow driving concept is a Command, Control and Communication center (C3), analogous to air traffic control centers.
The target
market is medium size and up tertiary hospitals preferably with ED
services. There are about 3000 such hospitals in the USA, and more than
10000 such hospitals in Europe and the pacific (excluding China).
Brief
description of proposed R&D project:
The project will involve installing the OR-Flow system at a local hospital.
The
partners will perform localization, additional product development to
enhance some product features, integration with existing HCIT systems
and at a later stage marketing of the product to other customers.
We’re also considering a 2nd scenario - Developing a new component that will allow our system to send messages via:
- Email
- SMS
- Voice mail
- Pager
Users will
be able to subscribe to such a service and will be able to change their
preferences via a web interface. The Singapore R&D partner will be
either the owner\developer of such a software package.
Desired
Profile of R&D Partner and its role in the proposed R&D
project:
The desired partner will have as many as possible of the following capabilities:
1. Healthcare IT integration company (solution provider).
2. Existing customer base within local hospitals.
3. Good local market (Singapore) recognition and reputation.
The partner will assist to define local
customers’ requirements and will be involved with localization,
installation, pilot management, integration with peripheral HCIT
systems.
