Bio-X (S) Pte Ltd is a new start up company funded by SPRING to commercialize a Japanese technology. The technology is semi-conductor based which detects chemical reaction. The chemical reactions can be either enzymatic or electrochemical reactions. The detection is strictly limited to only proton charges. Our tecnology cannot detect if no protons are generated. Based on this principle, the analyzer is very versatile in its applications, ranging from food to pharmaceutical to medical to biofuel, etc. R&D applications need to be developed. The target market will be: (1) Researchers whose research work involve specific detection of pH. (2) Various industries depending on the applications which we can develop. |

(1) Detection of drugs of abuse using our system using human fluid (e.g. saliva or tears).
(2) Detection of viable bacteria for food samples using our system. |

(1) Good understanding of workings of biosensors and biochemistry reactions.
(2) To design assays for detection of abovementioned 2 targets (i.e. drugs and bacteria) , correlate it with actual samples and obtain the desired detection level. |
