Development of 3D Game in Mathematics
The Center for Educational Technology (CET) Ltd (Israel) and 7 Cans Pte Ltd (Singapore) have proposed to develop a 3D virtual Mathematics game targeted at children aged 7 and 8. The game aims to develop their creativity, problem solving skills and higher order thinking by providing Mathematics problems in an interactive environment. The proposed product will also allow teachers to monitor and keep track of the performance of the students playing the game.
Voice Interface System for Automotive Driving Application in Car Kit (VISOC-CK)
Santiaga Technologies Ltd (Israel) and Excelpoint Systems Pte Ltd (Singapore) are collaborating to develop a Voice Interface system that is speaker independent and requires only low resource hardware for execution. The companies aim to implement this Voice Interface system in a car kit device so as to provide a total hands-free solution for drivers.

Wireless Measurement & Control System for Liquids
High Check Control Ltd (Israel) and SensiMesh Pte Ltd (Singapore) have proposed to develop an integrated system for continuous management of the physical and chemical characteristics of liquids in industrial processes. The proposed system aims to monitor the liquids in industrial tanks by collecting data parameters using multi-sensing devices and transmitting the data back to the control center via wireless mesh network, thereby “bringing the laboratory to the tank”.
Automated Understanding and Retrieval Refinement of Photography Images (AUTOMAGE)
Rubner Technology Consulting Ltd (Israel) and Fotegrafik Pte Ltd (Singapore) collaborate to develop an Automated Understanding and Retrieval Refinement of Photography Images (AUTOMAGE) system that aims to improve the photo acquisition process and the search and retrieval process. The system aims to relieve the existing labor intensive process of screening the photos and to improve the consistency of the keywords tagged onto the photos. The system also aims to improve the search and retrieval process for images at the user end.
An Innovative Massive Multiplayer (MMP) Game based on Hardware-Accelerated AI
AIseek Ltd (Israel) and Playware Studios Asia Pte Ltd (Singapore) have proposed to develop a Massive Multiplayer (MMP) game based on hardware-accelerated Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. The MMP game is a Real Time Tactics game simulating the First World War’s trench warfare. The hardware-accelerated AI technology will support the game’s sophisticated AI content thereby enhancing the overall gaming experience and believability for the players.
Lighting Energy Management System (LEMS)
Menolinx Systems Ltd (Israel) and CNA Group Ltd (Singapore) are collaborating to develop a Lighting Energy Management System that provides centralized real-time monitoring and controlling of the status of every lamp under the system. The system aims to provide accurate predictive maintenance function, illumination level control and customisation of illumination profile for the lamps. The product aims to save on the energy consumption by the lamps and reduce the maintenance costs through its predictive maintenance feature.
Cytech - HomeNet Intelligent Building (CHIB)
HomeNet Com Ltd (Israel) and Cytech Technology Pte Ltd (Singapore) have proposed to develop the Cytech - HomeNet Intelligent Building (CHIB) system that enhances the living comfort of users while ensuring the safety and security of the vicinity. The system aims to provide building and home automation with real-time security and video surveillance via wired and wireless networks. It allows users to have remote access to their smart home elements, video surveillance and alarm detectors through mobile phones, PDAs and internet.
IPTV Information Orchestration Solution (IIOS)
Traffix Systems Ltd (Israel) and Now Media Pte Ltd (Singapore) have proposed to develop an IPTV Information Orchestration Solution (IIOS) that aims to collect information related to the Quality of Experience (QoE) from IPTV subscribers. The collected information will be consolidated and analyzed in real time for IPTV service providers. This information provides valuable feedbacks to the service providers which help them to improve the quality of service.
SMARTILE
Silentium Ltd (Israel) and Singapore Technologies Kinetics Ltd (Singapore) collaborate to develop an Active Structural Acoustic Control (ASAC) device, SMARTILE, which aims to reduce the noise level in the passenger cabin on vehicular platform. The SMARTILE device is based on a combination of active vibration and noise control technologies. One of the goals is to make the system modular and usable for several applications, for example, noise reduction for excavators in order to meet the noise level requirement set by the EU. 
Mobile Digital Satellite News Gathering (M-DSNG)
Raysat Antenna Systems Israel Ltd (Israel) and Singapore Technologies Electronics (Satcom & Sensor Systems) Pte Ltd (Singapore) have proposed to develop a M-DSNG system that allows the broadcasting crew to transmit and receive video clips, data and text files while en route to cover a news event via a dedicated two-way satellite link.
Flip USB
SanDisk IL Ltd (Israel) [formerly known as M-Systems Flash Disk Pioneers Ltd] and Amphenol East Asia Ltd (Singapore) have proposed to develop a dual-side Flip USB flash memory device that combines a SanDisk USB flash memory card and a connector to be developed by Amphenol. The proposed product allowed flexible connectivitiy of any USB device.
Electrode Design & Manufacturing Solution
SolidCAM Ltd (Israel) and Manusoft Technologies Pte Ltd (Singapore) are working together to develop a solution that provides comprehensive approach to the integration of design and manufacturing automation of electrode creation on a leading mid-range 3D CAD platform (SolidWorks), thereby realizing a unified interface and seamless data flow from design to manufacturing. This solution aims to reduce the lead-time of electrode manufacturing and, in turn, reduces the turnaround of mould production. It aims to reduce production cost of mould and die tools, while maintaining the precision and reducing the manual errors throughout the production cycle.
Triple Play Service Multi Standard System
InspiAir Ltd (Israel) and Bluengine Asia Pacific Pte Ltd (Singapore) collaborate to develop a dual function IEEE802.11 Point to Multi-point (PTMP) base station or a Point-to-Point (PTP) wireless bridge. With frequency conversion feature that will allow switching to licensed and unlicensed bands (e.g. 2.3GHz, 2.5GHz, 3.3GHz, etc.), the system allows users to use their existing WiFi accessible products (laptops, PDA, web phones, etc.) everywhere.
IP Call Center Using VOIP In Remote Site
Parallel Communications Ltd (Israel) and IPVox Asia Pte Ltd (Singapore) are working together to develop a contact center suite that can be operated by handicapped personnel, thus enabling them to join the mainstream workforce and enhance their independence. The proposed contact centre suite will contain integrated and embedded software tools for the handicapped operator to manage an Agent User Interface with voice commands and a narrator function reading out the screen content.
ComboSense System
Tiltan Systems Engineering Ltd (Israel) and ST Electronics (Training & Simulation Systems) Pte Ltd (Singapore) collaborate to develop a situation awareness system called the ComboSense System. The ComboSense system supports command & control in both 2D and 3D and it features a simulation module for real-time planning. ComboSense may be deployed to prepare the customer in crisis management and debrief operations. The system is also capable of conducting command and control of resources.
Paper Only Biometric Identification Documents (POBID)
Concealogram Ltd (Israel) and XID Technologies Ltd (Singapore) aim to research and develop a Paper-Only-Biometric-ID (POBID). The POBID system includes a combination of technologies representing the unique expertise of both companies. The system is based on XID Technologies’ real world facial recognition technology and Concealogram’s paper encryption technology. The identification data are processed by the technologies of both companies and printed on paper or plastic card.
Mobile Digital TV PC Card
Siano Mobile Silicon Ltd (Israel) and VidzMedia Pte Ltd (Singapore) proposed to build a USB Mobile Digital TV (‘MDTV’) card, which can be plugged into the USB port of a mobile computing device. The size, weight and form factor shall be similar to that of a USB thumb-drive. It will have a USB2.0 (full speed) interface. With this USB device plugged in, one can receive digital TV broadcast in the DVB-H format and while moving at speeds up to 350km/h. The MDTV card will support the following open standards: DVB-H, DVB-T, T-DMB, and DAB.
Next Generation Sync over Packet Product
IPClock Ltd (Israel) and Ntegrator Pte Ltd (Singapore) proposed to develop an application-agnostic, cost-effective, standards compliance synchronization solution for Next Generation Networks, by creating a low-cost clock recovery module using a low-cost oscillator and innovative clock recovery algorithms. Such a solution will help to improve the network synchronization and to provide good quality traffic over the customers’ mobile communication networks.
High-end system for inner perimeter security (“Varuna System”)

Correlations Systems Ltd (Israel) and XID Technologies Pte Ltd (Singapore) proposed to develop a high-end system for inner perimeter security, using a combination of biometrics, computer vision, and machine learning technologies. The system is meant to complement the existing high-end video security systems, so as to provide a security solution specifically geared for the prevention of in-house threats. Such a system will allow public and private sector research establishments to manage the data associated with research activities, e.g. projects, grants/funds, project team, resources, publication list and reports.
Voice Interface System on a Chip (VISOC) for home appliances
Santiaga Ltd (Israel) and Excelpoint Systems Pte Ltd (Singapore) proposed to develop, integrate and test a low-cost Voice Interface on a micro-controller Chip (VISOC) for home appliances. The system will be based on software algorithms that will be developed by Santiaga and embedded into Fujitsu’s micro-controller chips. Excelpoint will integrate it with other components on dedicated boards designed by Excelpoint. The new chip will facilitate the handling and operating of home appliances while diminishing manual operating functions to a minimum.
Legacy Application Portfolio Management and Legacy Modernization Workbench Products
EZ Legacy Ltd (Israel) and ESS Software Pte Ltd (Singapore) proposed to enhance EZ Legacy’s EZ Target product to support the specific needs of the Asia Pacific markets by further developing the core functionality and additional features. The project deals mainly in Legacy Transformation solution that will automatically transform legacy to modern architectures and modern relational databases. This collaboration will also cover product’s localization to the Asia Pacific market needs.
APRT-2801-g SIIS Project
Visuality Systems Ltd (Israel) and RFNet Technologies Pte Ltd (Singapore) proposed to design a wired & wireless router box that supports network printing and storage over a LAN environment, for the Small Office, Home Office (SOHO) market. Visuality provides the embedded Common Internet File Systems (CIFS) middleware software to support file sharing and print sharing functionalities, while RF Net designs the hardware platform and drivers, and the wireless chipset that serves as WLAN access point.
Solar Efficient LED Based Illuminated Signs
Ledi Lite Ltd (Israel) and Fuji Signcrafts Industries Pte Ltd (Singapore) proposed to develop advanced illuminated sign with above 90% of light efficiency, using material such as acrylic and reflector that contains LEF (Light Emitting Fiber). The project’s target for an average street sign is to achieve 14 hours of illumination at darkness conditions following only 2 daily hours of solar charging process using low cost rechargeable battery and solar cell.
Asian GPON Solution

Flexlight Networks Ltd (Israel) and DenseLight Semiconductors Pte Ltd (Singapore) proposed to design and develop Generalized Passive Optical Networks (GPON) system to achieve the following benefits:

  • Longer distance coverage, which would allow a single OLT (head-end) to serve ONTs (customer side) at greater distances of up to 37 km
  • Support of large bursts of data traffic, which would allow providing data services at the proper quality of service in real traffic packet distribution
  • Full compliance with the GPON standard (G.984) and specifically support for the optical power leveling feature with the new DenseLight transceiver


The project would enable the companies to offer a complete GPON solution, covering both the OLT and the ONT equipment, which caters for both business and residential triple play services.

Common Architecture Outdoor-Unit for Broadband Wireless Point-to-Point Applications
Millimetrix Broadband Networks Ltd (Israel) and ST Electronics (Satcom & Sensor Systems) Pte Ltd [formerly known as Agilis Communication Technologies Pte Ltd] (Singapore) proposed to develop a range of Outdoor-unit (ODU) products to be used in a PDH (Pleisochronous Digital Hierarchy) or SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) broadband wireless point-to-point systems. The ODU is paired with Indoor-unit (IDU) as one terminal to form a point-to-point wireless link. The range of ODU products developed would have lower costs but able to cope with more complex signaling and offer a much better radio performance as compared to the existing ones.
Development of Missed Call Alert (MCA) Platform
Varicom Communications Ltd (Israel) and Net Access Singapore Pte Ltd (Singapore) [formerly known as Computer Interface Singapore Pte Ltd] proposed to create a low cost and upgradeable Missed Call Alert Platform that notifies the mobile subscriber by SMS a "lost or missed call" while the mobile handset is turned off or out of range. The concept of the proposed system is to use PC based platforms and Microsoft work environment. The system can be easily upgraded and it includes a monitoring mechanism that alerts a fault.
Embedded Chinese Word Segmentation & Translation
Wizcom Technologies Ltd (Israel) and Hotcard Technologies Pte Ltd (Singapore) proposed to produce a mobile scan and Chinese translation product for use in portable handheld environments. The novelty of the product will be its capability to handle the complexities of the Chinese language for scanning and translation and still be a hand-held device for ease of use for the consumers.

CePost Ltd (Israel) [acquired by BluePhoenix Solutions Ltd (Israel)] and Elixir Technology Pte Ltd (Singapore) proposed to develop an integrated solution for legacy system that takes in text files, converts them into XML format, and generates reports in various formats to be distributed. Report-IT aims to provide an integrated data extraction, data transformation, report generation and distribution solution for legacy systems.
King’s Game
TIL Defense Systems Ltd (Israel) and ST Electronics (Info-Software Systems) Pte Ltd [formerly known as SES Systems Pte Ltd] (Singapore) proposed to develop a simulation trainer for crisis management encompassing the combined simulation of police, fire brigade medical evacuation, civil defense, transportation etc. The product enables authorities like Home Security Command to be trained in crisis management.
Cellular m-Marketing & m-Commerce Tool
Regisoft Ltd (Israel) and System@Work Pte Ltd (Singapore) proposed to provide the Mobile Advertising & Interactive Trader (MAIT) clients that would support specific markets in the Asia region. The target operator of the MAIT clients would be non-technical and marketing oriented personnel. The three MAIT clients are to be developed for the following market segments: advertising agencies, media companies and ticketing. The underlying backbone of MAIT would be World Trade Server (WTS) provided by RegiSoft. TeleMoney from System@Work would be a key component in the ticketing client.

Scopus Network Technologies (Israel) and Pixelmetrix Corporation Pte Ltd (Singapore) proposed to develop a set of management tools which provide customers with the ability to plan, install, operate, provision, maintain and administer their equipment, networks and services in the digital video broadcasting system so as to achieve a high level of service quality. The product should also help to reduce the customers’ cost of network maintenance and operations
OCR-On-A-Chip
Wizcom Technologies Ltd (Israel) and Hotcard Technology Pte Ltd (Singapore) proposed to develop a miniaturized OCR product in the Chinese language, for use in portable handheld environments. The product will feature Chinese OCR on a chip, similar to Wizcom’s Latin-character-based Quiktionary products. The product will attend to the recognition of the Chinese set of approximately 14,000 complex characters.
MOMA Content Management Platform
This project is based on the MOMA Gateway and Application Platform that has been developed by M-Wise Ltd for SMS, EMS and WAP. It has already been deployed with more than 20 mobile operators in EU and Asia. M-Wise Ltd (Israel) and Hewlett Packard Pte Ltd (Singapore) proposed to further develop and enhance the MOMA platform to support technologies such as Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) and J2ME (Java 2 Mobile Edition), with a single interface for telecom operators, thus allowing ease of control and rapid time to market for new content and applications.

Infosoft Channels Ltd (Israel) and DCS Solutions Ltd (Singapore) proposed to develop an one-stop mobile Online Mobile Exhibition (OMEX) hub, which provides interaction, promotion, marketing, content management, market information, customer support and logistic management solutions online for exhibitions over 365 days. The key developmental efforts will be the integration of InfoSoft Channels InfoServer and the DCS online exhibition portal as well as to develop additional solutions to provide for all aspects of exhibition management.
Development of a Laser Marking System For IC Packaging
LaserOp Ltd (Israel) and IC Equipment Pte Ltd (Singapore) found complementary capabilities and were interested to explore the viability of developing their own customised laser system. IC Equipment currently integrates laser system purchased from other supplies into their IC-handling system. They market such systems to semiconductor industry in the region. LaserOp supplies laser system on OEM or turnkey basis to customers in the food, metal and diamond industries. In their proposed collaboration, LaserOp provides the laser system capabilities and IC Equipment contributes the IC marking system capabilities and the market knowledge.
Real Time Operating System Driver
Jungo Pte Ltd (Israel) [formerly known as KRFTech Ltd] and Maverick Research (Singapore) have taken their working relationship one step forward by embarking on a joint development project, which will create a new line of driver automation products - the RTOSDriver (Real Time Operating System Driver). This project will create a new line of development tools that enable real time systems programmers to create device drivers just as easily as the WinDriver product line enables Windows programmers to create them. The RTOSDriver will be another step in tightening the relationship between Maverick Research and Jungo Pte Ltd. Jungo Pte Ltd will sell end product worldwide, and by Maverick Research in the Singapore, India and Australia regions.
Ezfone Internet Telephony Solution
MediaSonic Multimedia Systems Ltd (Israel) and ACS Innovations (Singapore) have cooperated to develop a PC hardware/software solution that turns any regular or cordless phone into an "Internet Phone". Ezfone uses a standard telephone, making microphones and speakers obselete for conducting voice over IP. The entire procedure, including launching of software and the connection to the Internet, is automated and transparent to the user - no touching of the PC, mouse or keyboard is required. An Internet connection is established by simply dialing the destination number and the call is routed over the Net to the destination Ezfone user, or via an ITSP gateway's hop-off facility to any PSTN connection. Ezfone is able to call off-line destination parties, and automatically transfer the call over the Net.
D.O.D. Ink-jet Printing-Head For Consumer Products
Scailex Corporation Ltd (Israel) [formerly known as Scitex Corporation Ltd] collaborated with Transtech Electronics Pte Ltd (Singapore) to develop a dot-on-demand inkjet printhead for consumer-based products. The printhead will leverage on Scitex's experience and knowledge of pizoelectric inkjet technology, which is used in their inkjet industrial printers. The printhead will be based on novel concepts - which patents have been applied. It involves the use of porous material which enables inexpensive production of very thin printheads, having long life spans, high ejection frequency and flexibility with ink formulation. The 200 dpi printhead will be designed for niche consumer products which current established inkjet players are not providing. The first application of the printhead will be for use in a plain paper fax machine. The fax mechanical engine will be designed and developed to use the developed inkjet printhead.
Development of an E-Pen Signing System For Secured Transaction
InMotion E-Pen Ltd (Israel) and Alphatek Global Pte Ltd (Singapore) cooperated on the development of an electronic pen (e-pen) signing system for secured transaction by combining InMotion's electronic pen technology and Alphatek's on-line signature verification algorithms. The innovation provides an automated solution for on-line verification of a person's signature while writing on plain paper using the e-pen. Users will have no problem using the e-pen as it writes and feels like an ordinary pen. The objective of the E-pen secured transaction system is to allow each user carrying an e-pen with unique ID number to verify their signature with the data stored on the pen. The characteristics of the signature is encrypted and stored in the pen. When the pen is lost, another person will not be able to use it for fraud and forgery purposes. Both companies intend to develop the solutions and license the technology to Point-of-sales manufacturers.
Consumer DigitalAudio/Video Recorder Player
Zapex Research Ltd (Israel) [acquired by Emblaze Systems] and Serial Systems Ltd (Singapore) cooperated on the development of a unique system enabling the digital recording of movies on conventional CD-R or CD-RW media. The development program included the joint definition of the product and its partition into VLSI, software and hardware components. Zapex undertook the development of a VLSI device especially for the system being designed by Serial Systems. The device was fully functional after first silicone and has been successfully integrated into the system. Serial Systems is marketing the Audio/Video CD Recorder in the US and other countries under the brand name Terapin.

The device developed by Zapex Research, marketed under the brand Emblaze ASIC, is also being incorporated into USB A/V capture cards for PCs, manufactured by several companies in China and other Pacific rim countries.

The Centre for Educational Technology (CET), Israel's premier publisher and developer of educational software and HorizonEducom Pte Ltd (Singapore) [formerly known as Educom Pte Ltd], one of Singapore's largest educational technology companies had joined forces to develop a system, called School Groupware and Resource Planning (SGRP), that provided a comprehensive solution for schools seeking to establish an on-line learning environment. It could manage and automate teaching and learning processes. SGRP consisted of two major components: Groupware and educational resource planning. Together, these components formed a complete solution that enabled the access management to educational resources, and supported the information exchange among school community members during the learning process. This system was acquired by Britannica.com Inc.
High-Throughput Vacuum Oven For Moisture Removal of Semiconductor Devices
Vacuum Science & Technology Ltd (Israel) and AEM-Evertech Holdings Ltd (Singapore) [formerly known as Ever Technologies Pte Ltd] proposed to reduce the 24 hours baking time by increasing the vacuum level inside the oven chamber and getting a continuous in-situ measurement of the moisture level inside the tapes. The Israeli company will be responsible for the technological development while the Singaporean company will be responsible for testing the product at customers production lines (Beta sites) and providing the feedback for further improvements.
Vision-Based License Plate Recognition Parking Lot Management System
Hi-Tech Solutions Ltd (Israel) and Alphawave Pte Ltd (Singapore) proposed a joint project on the application of computer vision and database management. Hi-Tech Solutions Pte Ltd will develop the license-plate recognition system and Alphawave Pte Ltd will provide the parking management software. The end product will be a car park management system based on the integration of the above two technologies.
Development of fermentor culture of edible and medicinal mushrooms for nutraceuticals and biopharmaceuticals
MedMyco Pte Ltd (Israel) and MycoPharma Pte Ltd (Singapore) proposed to develop cholesterol-lowering and anti-diabetic products from fermentor cultures of certain medicinal mushrooms and to scale up the fermentor cultures to commercial scale, and to carry out pre-clinical trials on animal models for these nutraceuticals before embarking on clinical trials on human.The Israeli company will mainly focus on the R&D of the first series of dietary supplements as well as performing clinical tests towards approvals and semi-industrial trials. The Singaporean company will focus on activities directly supporting the development production and some of the clinical tests towards marketing approval. Some other marketing activites, especially establishing business relationships with major nutraceuticals distribution companies, will also be performed.
Growtech 2000
OrganiTECH (Israel) has developed the GrowTECH 2000 (GT2000), which is a self-contained, portable, robotic platform designed to automatically seed, transplant and harvest commercial quantities of hydroponic, pesticide free lettuce and other green leaf vegetables on a daily basis, anywhere in the world, 365 days a year. Utilizing a 40-ft metal shipping container outfitted with robotic system, environmental control technologies and hydroponic systems coupled with 24 hours lighting systems, GT2000 is designed to deliver optimal growth conditions and scales of productivity up to 200 times greater than conventional agricultural applications. Organitech signed a beta site MOU for two machines, to be operated in Singapore, with Agronaut Pte Ltd (Singapore). The main objective of the beta site testing is to determine the system productivity and reliability using local lettuce seeds, local water, higher ambient temperature and humidity and different lighting exposures.
LPC Flash Disk
M-Systems Ltd (Israel) and United Test and Assembly Center Ltd (Singapore) proposed to develop a new electronic disk based on flash memory technology. The new disk will support the LPC (Low Pin Count) bus that will replace the old ISA bus. The new disk will be in TSOP-1 package, which is a small standard packaging technology of electronic components provided by the Singaporean company.

The disk is combined of two dies: standard Flash memory and controller that include also the legacy technology of M-Systems. Versatile Electronic Training System Based on Interactive Video (VETSIV)
3View Ltd (Israel) and Research Communication International Ltd (Singapore) proposed to develop a VETSIV system that will manage multi-facet training courses through the Internet. The VETSIV system will integrate technologies and applications that will enable the flow of Electronic Training through the Broadband Web. The Israeli company will provide the VETSIV system, which is an e-learning platform with Interactive Video applications, Dynamic Database, Interface to Text Speech, Content Bank Technologies and other advanced features. The Singaporean company will integrate its existing proprietary courseware contents to the VETSIV system. RCI will also conduct a comprehensive pilot programme with a large corporate client to validate and enhance the VETSIV system.
Development of 3G Multi-Platform Vendor Managed Inventory System for Petrochemical Industry

Razel Information Systems (Israel) and Adopt-Fit Asia (Singapore) [now known as Web-Economy Technology Pte Ltd] have proposed to develop a system that will enable usage of the Internet and the cellular infrastructure and technology standards to replace the costly modem communication technology that is currently employed in Adopt-Fit's Global Inventory Management (GIM) system. With the proposed system, Adopt-Fit expects to reduce its current call charges by at least ten folds, and to provide a more real-time monitor of product inventories.

Adopt-Fit Asia will be responsible for all the front-end that includes integrating Internet capabilities to the outstation unit so that measured data may be transmitted via the Web to an Internet server. Adopt-Fit Asia will engage a Singapore company to host the Internet server. Adopt-Fit Asia has also sought the understanding of a few petrochemical companies to conduct the validation tests of the proposed product prior to commercial implementation. Razel will provide the back-end that includes communication with mobile devices for real-time inventory updates via SMS or WAP.

Science-On-Line Ltd (Israel), who specializes in the development of systems for science education via the internet, and Horizon. iTech Pte Ltd (Singapore), sole distributor of dataloggers to schools and colleges, proposed the project "Experiweb", which will allow teachers and students to conduct experiments using on-line tools for data collection and analysis.
General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) Content-Based Prepaid Platform
SigValue Technologies Inc (Israel) and LAS Technologies Pte Ltd (Singapore) proposed to develop a GPRS content-based prepaid platform (Stargate) for wireless data applications and services for the next generation wireless networks. The platform will be able to provide a real-time content, traffic information analysis and efficient prepaid traffic filtering. The companies will conduct a beta-site test to validate the proposed Stargate platform with a major telecommunication company.

3DVU Ltd (Israel) [formerly known as Flyover Technologies Israel Ltd] and Credent Technology Asia Pte Ltd (Singapore) [formerly known as Intergraph Systems South East Asia/Singapore Pte Ltd] proposed toa develop a technology enabling software, which supports touch-screen technology and enables large aerial images, incorporated with 3D fly-over realistic visualisation and real-time geographical information, to be streamed over narrow band communication (wired or wireless). The proposed software is targeted at various vertical markets such as defence, telecommunications, real estate and the mass market. Flyover will be mainly responsible for the integration of its patent pending technology to geographical informtion systems and touch screen devices. Intergraph will develop specific applications, supporting and integrating Flyover's technology, to meet the requirements of the various vertical markets. The companies will conduct a beta-site testing with map contents, geographical information and bandwidth service providers and portable hand-held device manufacturers.
Prog2Hunt
FlowDot Ltd (Israel) and PestHunters Pte Ltd (Singapore) proposed to develop an intelligent pest control smart station "Prog2Hunt". The system consists of 2 parts: a front line station comprising of a pest trap device attached to a mobile sensor and a RF transmitter, and a backend unit comprising of a RF receiver and a processing cum triggering software. The backend unit can receive information from many front line stations, each of which transmits its ID and pest count reading. The backend unit then processes the received information and triggers appropriate follow-up actions (alerts pop-up, e-warnings, etc.) accordingly. The companies have also managed to conclude an understanding with a major Singapore company to participate in the beta testing of the proposed system. The companies expect the proposed system to reduce the cost or increase the productivity of a conventional pest management process by about 60-70%.
Interactive Content Delivery System
Runcom Technologies Ltd (Israel) and Unify Engineering Pte Ltd (Singapore) [took over project from DtvTech Research & Consulting Pte Ltd] proposed to develop the world first Interactive Content Delivery System (ICDS) for Digital Terrestrial TV (DTT). The interactive system consists of a forward interaction channel (downstream), which is based upon an MPEG-2 and a return interaction channel based on a DVB-RCT (OFDMA) transmission (upstream). The system will be a state-of-the-art platform combining the Internet, digital television, and broadband access, and supports the delivery of services for various network interfaces according to the DVB-T standard and Ethernet technologies. The companies will also jointly perform a field trial in a fixed and mobile wireless environment, with a major broadcasting company in Singapore.
Enterprise Engineering Navigation
Columbus Application Provider Ltd (Israel) and Eutech Cybernetics (Singapore) proposed the integration of Columbus Facility Navigator and iViva.works to provide a more comprehensive and effective infrastructure management solution. The key developmental efforts will be the integration of the database structures, object models, application workflows and user interfaces. According to the companies, the proposed development will be the first integrated Facility Engineering Management/Operations & Maintenance product (FEMS-OMS) in the market. The proposed FEMS-OMS product will be marketed through the existing and new distribution partners of both companies. In this regard, the companies will leverage on the geographic presence and market access of each other.
