Description: This year's budget aims to give local businesses a boost in R&D, such as tax reductions of up to 150 per cent. And in light of these initiatives, the Singapore Economic Development Board and Office of Chief Scientists in Israel have collaborated to set up Singapore-Israel Industrial Research Foundation or SIIRD.

This aims to facilitate and support joint industrial R&D projects between companies and organisations from Israel in Singapore. SIIRD organises matchmaking opportunities between Singapore and Israeli companies in the field of R&D.

938 LIVE's Rachel Ang speaks to Mr. Chan Eng Chye, General Manager of SIIRD on how companies can benefit from such a scheme.
