Company Profile, Products & Technologies, Target Market:
Leviathan Energy is a startup company with patents in clean energy from waves, wind, and water. Our preliminary engineering reports suggest that we have very viable products, including some that may be best in their class. We think Singapore would have an interest in one of our ocean wave projects, as this would be their greatest opportunity for the production of clean energy.
Brief description of proposed R&D project:
Leviathan Energy has patents for a series of machines designed to obtain electric energy from ocean waves. We believe that our machines promise to become the best method on the market for producing energy from the surface waves of the ocean. We intend to build a model and test it in the wave tanks of Tel Aviv University School of Engineering, or to test a small model offshore in conjunction with professors in the field of fluid dynamics. We will do detailed specifications of the design, and maybe initial construction of the first model, in Israel. The aim is to build a highly efficient cost-effective machine for obtaining energy even from moderate waves. To coordinate the working parts with ocean conditions will require some control and feedback systems; we may develop those ourselves, or may do so with a partner company.
Desired Profile of R&D Partner and its role in the proposed project:
We are looking for a Singapore partner that can do the practical research and development side of the project. That would most likely be an electricity generating company with engineering capabilities, or an electronic controls company, or both. The partner would install the machines according to the prototypes developed in Israel, and perform testing and refinement under practical conditions, while observing the kilowatts produced under practical conditions and various parameters, since the machine has several moving and adjustable components. Presumably, the final product would be a working model that can be connected to the grid in Singapore and produce electricity. As mentioned, the partner may also develop control systems.
